When Bandanas For The Brave was registered as a charity in 2013, Ellen and Simon Vance never imagined how quickly their family-run organisation would grow; they now have a team of dedicated volunteers and work with over 25 hospitals across the UK and Ireland distributing a FREE bandana to children and young people with cancer.
Three-years on and they received some magical news that local magician, Rodd Hogg, will be the charity’s new Ambassador. Rodd Hogg, known as The Irish Magician, is renowned for his close-up magic and has worked with some well-known celebrities, including Liverpool FC Manager Brendan Rodgers, and performs all over the world.
Rodd
explains, “When I heard about how Bandanas For The Brave was founded, and that
all the money raised is used to purchase bandanas, I knew this was a charity
that I wanted to be involved with. I am looking forward to working with Ellen, Simon
and their team of volunteers in the coming months and years.”
Ellen Vance, founder of Bandanas For The Brave, says, “We are absolutely delighted to have Rodd as part of our team! We are certain that he will work his magic and help raise awareness of the impact that childhood cancer has.”
You
can catch Rodd Hogg’s new TV show on Sky Channel 191 Thursday nights at 8.30pm.
